The E Village project is located in the computer laboratory of the Batuwangala Nawodya Maha Vidyalaya.  The computer laboratory was set up by the SEMP project with the intention of improving ICT and English skills among the student population.  Classes are conducted in the computer laboratory for the students.  Alternative and innovative methods are used to encourage children to improve their English skills.  The emphasis is on application; thus students are encouraged to speak and write.  Usage of emails and internet is one means through which this is encouraged.  Teachers are encouraged to use the laboratory to teach other subjects as well by developing interactive lesson materials, power point and other computer based methods.
The Sri Lankan education system is often criticized for using outdated teaching material and lagging behind in science and technology education.  Strengthening the computer laboratory could be one of the most beneficial ways of addressing this problem.

Batuwangala Maha Vidyalaya has a library from the beginning. But we did not have book in it. Especially English books. English developing program inside the school is in Progress. The English Language improving plan is in progress with the participation of Section head Mrs.Nishanthi Gunasekara and ICT teacher Mr.Aruna chaminda. Miss.Harini Amarasuriya and her set of peers donate set of books to the school.

Miss. Harini Amarasuriya helped us to develop this project and to up hold the English knowledge in the school. We are grateful to her all the time and hope to use these books with our classroom teachings. Also we would like to thank everyone who visited us 6th July 2009.

According to the Mahathma Ghandi,India,There are two types of people. He has said 'There are two types of people. One is those who work. Other is those who try to grab the credit. Be in first category. There is not competition’. We believe that it is 100% correct. The Gentle people did not wanted us to publish about them in the web sites that they donated us books. But we know there are some who totally different.
This is where we bow our head and salute the visitors who were always there with us. Thank you dear madam and dear sirs. Thank you very much.
